Maritime Woodbridge 2017 postponed until September 8th & 9th 2018
With regret the organising committee of Maritime Woodbridge has had to decide to postpone this September’s event, due to over-running of the Whisstocks redevelopment. The new Whisstocks Centre, with its public open space by the riverside and its Longshed is integral to Maritime Woodbridge, which had originally been conceived as a celebration of its opening. We are really sorry to all who had been working towards this year’s event, originally planned for 9-10 September, and to all who have been looking forward to enjoying it.
But the Boat Jumble is still on - and it is now free for both visitors and stallholders
Visitors in previous years have commented on the friendly spirit of the event, created by the enthusiastic and voluntary involvement of so many different Woodbridge people, businesses, clubs and societies, led by a small working party of traditional boat enthusiasts. This made it truly a community effort.
“a really wonderful thing for Woodbridge” “so impressed with the response from the people” “really good to involve the town – pleased to be part of it “ “real community event that brought Woodbridge together” “An excellent and well organised event and much appreciated”
